Adult Basic Education

Bates Technical College offers Adult Basic Education (ABE), also known as Basic Studies, classes and services in:

• Skill development in mathematics, reading and writing
• GED test preparation

ABE classes are intended to help students improve mathematics, reading and writing skills whether or not they have a high school diploma. Students register for basic studies to prepare for further general education courses, to complement career education and for personal growth. Students may also enroll in ABE courses to prepare for GED testing. In-person and online courses are offered every quarter.
