CYBR 105 IT Systems II

This course introduces students to installation, configuration and upgrading, diagnosing and troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, virtualization and cloud concepts. This is the second course in a series of two to prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification. Passing a professional IT certification requires many additional hours of study before and after the course lecture. Expect to spend a significant number of hours studying before you take a CompTIA or any other IT professional certification.

1. Compare and contrast common security threats, vulnerabilities and prevention methods for securing Windows operating systems, and mobile devices as currently used in the industry
2. Compare and contrast technical considerations when supporting mobile devices as used in a business in a lab setting
3. Compare and contrast various features and requirements of Microsoft, Mac OS and Linux operating systems as utilized in the industry
4. Demonstrate installation and configuration of Windows PC operating systems and network connection using appropriate methods as deployed in the industry
5. Disassemble and explain the function of components within the display of a laptop and mobile device in a cooperative teamwork scenario
6. Identify hardware, components, accessories and ports of laptops and other mobile devices with diverse peers in a lab/classroom setting
7. Identify virtualization and cloud concepts, properties and purpose of services provide by networked hosts as currently used in the industry
8. Prepare for and successfully complete industry certification
