HSCM 086 HS Completion Chemistry

Students in this course explore the structure of matter and how it behaves under various conditions to better understand the chemical world. Laboratory activities and extended lecture concepts introduce the students to the experimental process. Students are introduced to the fundamental concepts of inorganic chemistry such as the basic principles such as atomic and molecular structure, the periodic table, intermolecular forces, fission, fusion, radioactive decay, chemical reactions and their kinetics, and the ability to communicate scientific and technical information. Students will use mathematical representation to support the claim that mass is conserved during a chemical reaction.
