HIST 092 US History II

This course will cover three historical themes, race, war and the marketplace, from the end of the American Civil War up to the present.  The classroom format will involve both lecture and discussion.  There will be some classroom time devoted to completing assignments.  Students will occasionally conduct computer and library research along with various homework assignments.  The informational basis of the course will be a series of discussions, readings, and student investigative assignments that cover various aspects within the following designated topics:

  • The United States and Israel
  • The Uneasy Relationship between Race and Americans
  • Liberty vs. Security in the American Marketplace
