This course introduces the operating principles of pneumatic brakes, which includes: ABS, Roll stability, and collision avoidance. Concurrent enrollment: DIESL 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, and 109 or instructor permission

  1. Demonstrate proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment per industry standards.
  2. Discuss poor stopping, air leaks, premature wear, pulling, grabbing, dragging, or balance problems caused by supply and service systems malfunctions; determine needed action per industry standards
  3. Identify the brake system components, their design for various applications and proper operation
  4. Inspect, diagnose and adjust to ensure their proper operation
