ETRIC 251 Physics for Engineers with Lab

Topics covered include basic electricity, electromagnetism, oscillations, vectors, motion, magnetism, energy and force. A hybrid course that requires face-to-face weekly meetings with instructor to measure student progress in a laboratory environment.

  1. Apply the concepts of equilibrium and linear motion to electrical engineering designs.
  2. Apply a phsical system to decide what information and principles are relevant to understanding the behavior of the systems.
  3. Understand properties of matter, atomic structure and the reaction of materials to electrical voltages and current.
  4. Understand the concepts of electromagnetic induction, and how this is applied to electrical concepts.
  5. Aply Newton's laws of motion and reactions to electrical engineering designs.
