DIESL 108 Engine Reassembly

In this course perform procedures for overhauling heavy-duty diesel engine including disassembly, cleaning and inspection, adjustments, and reassembly. Concurrent enrollment: DIESL 105, 106, 107, 109 and 110 or instructor permission.

1. Demonstrate proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment per industry standards.
2. Discuss safe handling and use of appropriate tools per industry standards
3. Evaluate and inspect and adjust components in preparation for reassembly
4. Follow service literature to properly dismantle a diesel engine
5. Reassemble a diesel engine following service literature returning it to running condition
6. Use industry specifications to clean and evaluate components to ensure serviceability
